Do you dream of your kids becoming skilled thinkers and communicators — influencers that others admire?
Something like this maybe:
“Now when they [the chief priests and Sadducees] saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled…”
But how did two “uneducated” fishermen silence the Harvard professors of their day?
Luke tells us.
It was because “they had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13).
This raises a critical question:
What was Christ’s strategy for training up men who would turn the world upside down?
-
Enrolling them in the best Sadducee or Greek philosophy training programs?
-
Immediately sending them out to the nations before he had trained them?
-
Encouraging them to ignore and avoid the ideas of the world?
Of course it was none of those things!
Peter and John spent three years walking WITH Jesus, as He cast out demons, sat at the table with publicans, confronted deceitful religious leaders…and preached the truth that sets men free.
When He finally filled them with His Spirit and sent them to the nations…the world shook.
If we’re following Jesus’ method, then our kids don’t need to spend years wading through the mire of godless liberal arts programs and “classic” works to become great thinkers and communicators.
They need to walk with Jesus.
The Generations team has created their Bible-based, K-12 literature curriculum to guide you through this “walking with Jesus” approach. It looks like this…
1. Immerse your kids in a biblical worldview, starting with ABC. In My First Letters and Sounds (K) and Generations Phonics (1st grade), they use biblical characters and verses to teach children their letters.
